"Pathways to Discovery" Contest

Partners in Research is pleased to announce our 2003-04 Essay Contest for secondary school* students in the Greater Toronto Area. The theme of the contest is “The Scientific Journey: Pathways to Discovery” with an emphasis on the role of biomedical research in Canadian society.

For secondary schools in the greater Toronto area, we will be offering five $250 cash awards and certificates of merit for the adjudicated top 5 submissions, as well as the opportunity for the grand prize winner to be a “Scientist for a Day.” This student will spend the day visiting research laboratories, touring the University of Toronto Anatomy museum, and having lunch with a Canadian scientist at the faculty club at the university.
