Essay Contest

Partners in Research - in partnership with our co-sponsors  - is pleased to announce the winners* of our 2005-06 Essay Contest for Secondary and Elementary school students in the Greater London Area: “Pathways to Discovery: The Role of Biomedical Research in Canadian Society.”

The Andrew McFarlane Prize (for best overall submission) was awarded to ANDREW FISHER
of Lord Dorchester Secondary, for his essay entitled "Good Science or Pre-occupation with Ethics: The Debate over Skin Cell vs. Embryonic Stem Cell Research."

 

The contest will be held once again for the 2008-2009 school year. Please check back for details in September, 2008.

* 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes are not always awarded in each grade category. Prizes may be withheld in some levels depending on submissions.
