Rodent Housing

Rodent Housing

All laboratory animals have proper shelter. The mice live in specially designed  cages such as these.

Many labs raise their own mice and rats in similar cages.

A)    The physiologist is a scientist who studies all the vital life processes of an organism.

B)    In some experiments rats and mice must be protected from germs that might be in the air. A clear plastic tent covers this entire set of cages. Under it, a machine called a flowhood blows in clean air.
